This segment includes the railroad tracks, above Aquatic Park from University to Ashby, and the adjacent streets.

Note that a large fraction of the trash flowing into the park is coming from the railroad tracks above and is flowing into the verge areas below. This trash is largely invisible, to get to it, both the rail tracks and the verge area below need to be thoroughly cleaned.

There are half a dozen campsites along the railroad tracks.

Getting There & Parking

Small amounts, can be put in trash cans in park.

Large amounts, pile off the right-of-way, where it can easily be loaded into a truck.

Berkeley Public Works has agreed to pick up trash we collect off of UP lands, if they can get to it, and if we make arrangements in advance.
