About this Spot

This area includes the wetlands on either side of the Bay Trail between Marina Bay, and Pt. Isabel including the Meeker Slough, and the ditch along S. 32nd St that drain to the bay.

Do not enter endangered Clapper Rail habitat areas near the UC Richmond Field Station in the North, the Clapper Rail breeding season is February 1 through August 31.

NOTE: Do not enter fenced toxic waste remediation areas.

Minimize traversing wetland areas, focus instead on trash in verge areas to prevent it flowing into the wetlands.

I was noticing all the trash left at the tide lines along the shore. Is it possible to pick up trash there before it floats out into the Bay again? It seems accessible, but I'm not sure about the sensitive habitat. Also, would I just go out and start picking it up leaving bags near the trash bins by the benches? Or do I need some type of approval before doing that?
