This area includes a complex set of verge areas along 580 from Telegraph to the offramp at Broadway.
Use gaps in the fence and access points at the end of residential side streets and highway offramps to gain access to different areas.

Numerous campsites along this stretch, combined with litter from the freeway.
Avoid cleaning active campsites unless you talk to the residents and get guidance from residents about what can be taken away. Potentially needles around homeless campsites.
Hazards & Safety
Stay off highway and on and off-ramps.
Wear neon vests when working anywhere near freeway on and off ramps.
Stay at least 12’ from traffic lanes.
Getting There & Parking
Access from side streets via gaps in the fence and from offramps.
Trash Disposal
This land is managed by Caltrans and pickup will be infrequent.
For small amounts take away bags,
For Large amounts Staged trash in piles out of the the right-of-way, at least 50’ from a campsite, where they can easily be loaded onto a truck.
