About this Spot
This watershed includes Cordornices, Blackberry and Marin/Village Creeks
Steelhead trout still spawn in Cordornices Creek. Cordornices runs above ground in a narrow slough between Golden Gate Fields and the Highway and then through UC Village from the Highway up to San Pablo.
Significant stretches of Strawberry Creek are open through Berkeley residential areas, and through Live Oak Park, and finally Cordornices Park in the foothills.
Trash Note
Avoid cleaning active campsites unless you talk to the residents and get guidance from residents about what can be taken away. Potentially needles around homeless campsites.
Hazards & Safety
Avoid trampling vegetation and walking in the creeks. Avoid areas with nesting birds March - August.
Getting There & Parking
Use nearby street parking.
Trash Disposal
Small amounts, can be put in trash cans.
Large amounts, pile off the right-of-way, where it can easily be loaded into a truck.
The best way to report trash piles is using the City of Richmond’s App. Calling Richmond’s Illegal Dumping Hot Line at (510) 965-4905 is another option.
